Darius Pavri is a specialist mechanical engineer with considerable experience working in large multi-disciplinary design teams in the Oil & Gas Industry, both locally and internationally. More recently Darius has been Perth-based and engaged in the aviation industry developing a unique aviation flight experience and commercial flight school. Today, Darius is part of a growing Aviation consultancy servicing aviation industry clients nationally.

Graduating as a mechanical design engineer, Darius spent the first 10 years of his engineering career working on projects from inception and concept design through to the detailed design and construction of offshore substructures. During this period, Darius qualified as a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in the UK.

Moving to Australia, Darius diversified within the petroleum industry into Project Management, leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers through numerous greenfield and brownfield projects associated with the Burrup gas plant. Aside the engineering aspects, Darius’s responsibilities ranged from project definition, design, cost estimating, tender preparation and revue, and project delivery all to strict national and corporate guidelines and policy.

Today Darius is a co-owner of a Perth-based aviation company with products ranging from the operation of ex-military aircraft, air-charter operations and a commercial flight training school. Initially, the role required the preparation of business plans, equipment leasing strategies together with the sourcing, procurement and the importation of aircraft. Today, aside the normal business administration, continual business development and operation of the business, Darius holds the CASA approved position of Chief Pilot and Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control for a fleet of aircraft of various types and sizes.

Today Darius holds commercial fixed-wing and helicopter licenses that provide Darius with a unique perspective on numerous aspects of the aviation industry.

When away from work, Darius has developed a keen interest in the culinary arts. Accomplished as a self-taught home cook, Darius has published here many thoughts and ideas that have been created and enjoyed.
