A recent trip to the Sake House in Applecross was a pleasant surprise. A small and quiet restaurant nestled amongst the shops in Kearns crescent, you would be forgiven for not ever knowing it was there. The food was fresh and tasty, although the portions a little on the small side. We started with a delicious portion of Tasmanian salmon sushi to get the taste buds salivating. Only a small dinner, so we followed this with enoki wrapped beef rolls grilled on a hot plate with a dash of terryaki sauce and a portion of their spicy kimchee pork belly. Although not strictly Japanese, the pork was most welcomed on a cold and windy night.
