Another relatively new restaurant in Falcon, at the old Limoncello’s site.
Met at the door by the co-owner/Manager, a sizable gent who proved through the night to be attentive and passionate for his business.
A neatly decorated restaurant, subtly lit and oozing some charm is marred by the Carlton FC memorabilia and TV on the wall which detract from the atmosphere they have taken care to build.
The waiter took our order for entrees and left us to peruse the menu for mains. No rush, no fuss, just good training and hospitality. We shared a garlic bread, a little bland but nicely browned in the pizza oven.
My main course was a spaghetti with seafood in a wine and chilli sauce. LOADED with salmon cubes, occy, squid, prawns, mussel and more seafood, the dish arrived piping hot and brimming to the lip. Bliss !
My wife had scallopine a la funghi with roasted potatoes. Well cooked veal slices were smothered in a rich and creamy porcini mushroom sauce. An excellent meal, just a little too big on both counts.
Apologies but my phone died and so didn’t get a chance to take any photos.
Dinner for two, BYO, $55, I’ll give them a 3/5, a solid thumbs up.
